Police are appealing for witnesses after a reported assault and theft in Ewell.

The incident happened on Wednesday, August 27, at around 9.30pm on Ruxley Lane, near the junction with Chessington Road.

Officers say they are keen to trace the driver and passenger of a white BMW seen in the area at the time.

The driver is described as a white man of stocky build, about 5ft 11ins tall, in his early 20s with dark hair.

He was wearing a black jacket, beige or tan trousers and black shoes.

The passenger is described as a white man of average build, about 6ft tall, wearing a grey and black tracksuit.
