THE change of use of residential dwelling to a children's home for one child aged between eight and 17 years has been proposed for a property in Hartlepool Road, Sedgefield.

Old Acres Bungalow, in Hartlepool Road, Sedgefield, Stockton On Tees, is situated within open countryside between Sedgefield and Wynyard.

The property sits adjacent to the A689/Hartlepool Road, surrounding agricultural fields, and the Old Acres Filling Station, which has since been demolished and remains a brownfield site.

The property would be the primary residence of one child aged eight to 17.

There would be a team of six staff attached to the property with a registered manager and an assistant manager present throughout the week. The six staff will work on a rotation of two or three-day shifts.

At any one time, two trained members of staff would be living at the property.
