A brand-new B&Q store has opened its doors in Staines.

The DIY and home improvement retailer opened for the first time in Staines High Street yesterday (January 26).

The new 4,000 sq. ft store will offer 3,500 products which is available either in-store for immediate pick-up or next-day click-and-collect.

Several services will be available at the Staines store, which includes Valspar paint mixing, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom design, Click & Collect, in-store ordering, key cutting, The Rug Doctor, and WEEE recycling.

Discussing the opening of the store, manager, Michael Novell said: “We are looking forward to welcoming Staines residents into our new store over the coming weeks.

“We are excited to be able to offer more choice for our customers with the opening of the new store and support the locals with all their home improvement projects.

“The great thing about this store is customers can still access all the products they would be able to get from one of our larger stores but from a convenient high street location - we expect our Click & Collect and paint mixing service to be particularly popular, as well as the key cutting and showroom planning services and of course the DIY tools and essentials.”

The Mayor of Spelthorne, Councillor Denice Saliagopoulos, was also among those attending the opening of the store.

She said: “It was a pleasure to join the B&Q Local Staines team for a venture around their exciting new high street store.

“I look forward to the convenience it will bring to the community of Staines-upon-Thames and helping to support everyone’s home improvement needs.”
