A dispersal order has been put in place for the second weekend in a row after arrests and antisocial behaviour at a Richmond McDonald’s.

Police have been given extra powers meaning that officers can take action to prevent anti-social behaviour in the area after a recent spate of incidents.

The section 35 Dispersal Order will begin at 4pm tomorrow (October 28) and last until 7am on Sunday morning (October 30).

Last weekend (October 21-23) a similar order was put in place.

This action from police comes after multiple arrests on October 14 which included an assault of a police officer, damage to property at Richmond McDonald's and anti-social behaviour.

Police have warned that this order means that it will be an offence if a person “fails to comply with a direction given by a police officer or PCSO to disperse, fail to surrender items likely to cause anti-social behaviour on request of a police officer or PCSO or to return within a specified period after being directed to disperse”.

This dispersal zone covers the following roads and spaces:

  • Albert Road (Kingston) Fairfield South Kingston Hill Road A307 (Turk Launches)

  • Hampton Court Road
  • Wellington Road
  • Sixth Cross Road
  • Staines Road
  • Heath Road
  • Richmond Road
  • Twickenham Green
  • Bushy Park
  • Kingston Town Centre

Richmond Police tweeted: “#DispersalOrder “A Section 35 dispersal has been authorised by Insp Mcloughlin beginning 1600 on 28/10/2022 until 0700 30/10/2022.

“Friday 14 Oct a gathering resulted in multiple arrests, assault on police, damage to property at Richmond McDonald's & Anti-Social Behaviour.

“When in effect, it is an offence to: “Fail to comply with a direction given by a police officer or PCSO to disperse.

“Fail to surrender items likely to cause ASB on request of a police officer or PCSO.

“Return within a specified period after being directed to disperse.

“Thank you to those residents who reported this behaviour. We will be patrolling in order to tackle this behaviour in Richmond & Kingston.
