The top 50 cocktail bars in the UK for 2022 have been revealed in a list compiled by organisation William Reed and voted by experts of the hospitality industry. 

Cocktails bars are the latest fashionable place to spend an evening out, with more and more popping up across the country, none more so than London. 

With 25 bars making the list, London grabs the title of most cocktail bars featured on the list in one area.

The best Cocktail Bars in London

Swift Soho- Soho

Taking the second spot on the list is Swift, known for its lively atmosphere, unique cocktails, and expansive whisky list.

The Connaught Bar- Mayfair

Third on the list is the Mayfair-based bar that is described as swanky and "oozes class and sophistication from every millimetre of its structure."

Tayer + Elementary- Shoreditch

At number 4, this cocktail bar is only open for walk-ins and serves cocktails in seconds thank to a draught system. 

Satan’s Whiskers- Bethnal Green

Taking spot 5, Satan's Whiskers offers a daily changing menu that encourages locals to return and try new drinks.

Thee Sheets- Dalston

Seventh on the list, formerly known as Between the Sheets, Three Sheets is one of the finest cocktail bars in the local area. 

Oriole- Farringdon

Spot eight is Oriole found in the hear of London’s Smithfield Markets, the bar offers welcome drinks and a range of great deals starting at £25 per person.

🔶🟥🔵- Hackney

The unusually named bar comes in at 11 and holds an educational feel with no bottles in sight and a theme of a 1970s kitchen. 

Disrepute- Soho

At twelfth is Disrepute, an art deco-themed bar that serves sophisticated drinks, and from 4pm to 6pm Sunday to Thursday you can bag drinks for just £8 each.

Nightjar- Shoreditch

Taking spot 13 is Nightjar, an exclusive speakeasy that has feelings of jazz and blues music, with highly skilled bartenders. 

Homeboy Bar- Islington

The fourteenth is Homeboy Bar, which is the first bar from an Irish team that offers the best of warm Irish hospitality in a calm-laid back style. 

American Bar- Covent Garden

Spot 15 is the American Bar that is 125 years old and is influenced by retro ritzy glamour and is the oldest surviving cocktail bar in Britain.

Opium Cocktails & Dim Sum Parlour- Chinatown

The hidden gem is at spot 17 and promises to take your breath away with excellent cocktails and fine art around the bar. 

Coupette- Bethnal Green

Taking 18 is Coupette that launched in 2017 and has become a loved part of the community with a French brasserie feel and a 12 part menu. 

Artesian- Oxford Circus

At 19 is Artesian found in the Langham Hotel, it offers a light open space with clean and simplified cocktails. 

Scarfes Bar- Holborn

Spot 20 is Scarfes Bar that can be found in the iconic Rosewood and takes guests back to a different period in time with staff in tartan trousers, white jackets, and ties. 

Trailer Happiness- Notting Hill 

On Portobello Road is Trailer Happiness that sits at number 21 on the list and is known for serving award-winning cocktails with a Tiki twist.

Happiness Forgets- Hoxton

At 23 is Happiness Forgets that although has a grungy feel it has a very fun and carefree environment, with great drinks. 

Little Mercies- Crouch End

Spot 25 goes to Little Mercies, a fun and casual spot that is the perfect place to escape from the busy office.

Laki Kane- Islington

At number 29 on the list is Laki Kane, a Thai kitchen and cocktail bar in one that is packed full of brilliant drinks and great deals. 

Lyaness- South Bank

Taking spot 31 is Lyaness in the Sea Containers Hotel with an award-winning concept and driven by an award-winning team. 

Hacha- Dalston

Number 34 on the list is Hacha, which favours using mezcal and tequila. It also serves a range of great Mexsican dishes. 

Bar Termini- Soho

At 38 is Bar Termini a classic venue with brilliant staff dressed in impeccably dressed old-school trends. 

Publiq.- South Kensington

Number 45 on the list is Publiq. which drives to improve and inspire the local community, its marks itself as a special part of the area. 

Callooh Callay- Shoreditch

At 48 is Callooh Callay, hosting an electric feel based in an iconic venue known for having the best cocktails in town. 

The Cocktail Trading Co- Shoreditch

Finally, number 50 on the list is The Cocktail Trading Co., an award-winning bar that was created by three lifelong bartenders.
