A man has been left shaken after four burglars broke into his home in Epsom while he was in.

The aggravated burglary at the home in Lynwood Avenue happened on Wednesday.

The victim was at home when he answered the door to four men he didn't know.

They forced entry into his house and carried out an "untidy search" of the house.

The victim was uninjured but left shaken.

The suspects left the location in a dark coloured vehicle.

Police are considering links to a burnt out vehicle found at Gatton Bottom on January 19.

A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses following an aggravated burglary on Lynwood Avenue, Epsom on Wednesday (January 19).

"Officers were called to the residential address following reports of an aggravated burglary, which had occurred shortly before 6.30pm.

"The victim was at his home address when he answered the door to four men not known to him.

"The men then forced entry into the property and carried out an untidy search of the house.

"The victim was uninjured but left shaken.

"The suspects left the location in a dark coloured vehicle.

"Police are considering links to a burnt out vehicle found at Gatton Bottom on January 19.
