A teenager who died following a crash in Epsom has been named and pictured by police.

Stephanie Beard, 17, was the pedestrian who died after a crash in Epsom on December 17.

Her family have said "she left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privlege to have known her".

They paid tribute to her "memory, love and kindness".

In a statement, Stephanie's family said: "The family of Stephanie Beard are devastated and sad at the loss of such a beautiful young soul.

"She left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege to have known her.

"Her memory, love and kindness will always be remembered.

“She was a loving daughter, sister, and granddaughter.

"Rest in peace angel."

An inquest has now opened at Surrey Coroner’s Court.

A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: "The pedestrian who sadly died following a collision in Epsom on Friday, 17 December, has been named as Stephanie Beard, 17, from Epsom.

"Our thoughts remain with Stephanie’s family at this difficult time and an inquest has now opened at Surrey Coroner’s Court."
