A 15-year-old boy has suffered serious injuries after a stabbing in Caterham.

Police were called to the scene of the serious assault in Stafford Road at around 9pm yesterday.

The boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The three suspects in the assault are described as black men wearing all black clothing.

A 25-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, but has since been released with no further action.

Surrey Police is asking anyone in the area at the time or anyone who saw anything suspicious to get in touch quoting reference number PR/45220006438.

A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed on Stafford Road, Caterham, yesterday evening (18 January).

"Officers were called to Stafford Road at around 9pm after receiving reports of a serious assault.

"The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"The three suspects in the assault are described as Black men wearing all black clothing.

"A 25-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, but has since been released with no further action.
