It was a chilly, Autumnal night at the Brentford community stadium and the lights were set for a star studded matchup between London Irish and Premiership champions Saracens.

The Community Stadium was buzzing and the atmosphere was electric! The lights dimmed, plunging the arena into darkness and out came the two sets of players, raring to go. The floodlights were turned back on and the Irish fans began to roar! The referee blew his whistle and we were off.

The games favourites Sarances started on the front foot with some very aggressive forward driving with players such as Harris and Segun charging at the exiles defence. However they stayed resilient and survived the Saracens onslaught. However some great counter attack play led to the first try of the game by Hassel-Collins. As the half drew to a close, two quick tries from Irish put the underdogs in a very comfortable position at half-time, 21-0 up!

The half-time break was also very exciting, with the Community Stadiums rendition of Sweet Caroline, anmd a race to win a holiday to the Cayman Islands!

The second half began and Sarancens knew they had work to do! They started very brightly with a great break from the fly half, which was converted in the corner by the number 14! Putting Saracens right back into the game. however Irish replied straight away with a quick try from Redmond to hopefully solidify the game. However in the last ten minutes Saracens made a late charge, scoring two penalties and a try to put the game within a tries reach! However a last minute kick from the Irish secured all the points in a great evening at the Brentford Community Stadium.
