CCTV images of people thought to be witnesses in the ongoing investigation into the murder of Helen Anderson were released by Surrey Police during the weekend (October 10).

They show several people now sought by police who said the people depicted "might have vital information which could help us progress our enquiries" into the 41-year-old's murder.

Police said the CCTV pictures were captured outside Sirwan Supermarket on Lordship Lane in Tottenham between 11pm and 11.40pm on Saturday, August 21.

Helen's body was found beside a slip road on the A3 in Guildford on August 23, prompting a murder inquiry.

Police said the images "could help us piece together her movements before her death," adding: "We would like to make it clear that the people pictured in these images will be treated as witnesses. If one of the people picture is you, or you recognise anyone in these images, please contact us quoting PR/45210089588..."

Dane Messam, 52, of Hackney, has been charged with murder in connection with the investigation.

Two other men were also arrested. A 50-year-old man from Enfield was arrested on suspicion of murder and a 51-year-old man from Hackney was arrested on conspiracy to commit murder. They have both since been released on bail whilst enquiries continue.

The trial is set for 14 February 2022.
