A popular children’s party venue has launched a new campaign ahead of opening its doors for the first time this year.

The easing of lockdown restrictions, which are due to come into force on Monday, will see 360 Play return to business.

The company, based in Basildon’s Festival Leisure Park since 2015, is celebrating the game-changing news by launching the Young Minds Campaign, which aims to help children and families who have been isolated throughout the pandemic.

With many members of the community losing their jobs, being sick and loved ones sadly passing away, the Young Minds Campaign is intended to support those who have struggled to cope in these trying times.

Basildon’s 360 Play centre will be distributing tickets for the first 30 days after reopening to those in need of a pick-me-up.

James Hack, centre manager at 360 Play, said: “As a parent of two children and also within my job, I’ve seen first hand how crucial it is for children to be able to play freely in a setting where they can use their imagination and creativity, burn off energy and to interact with children of their own age.

“The 360 Play Young Minds Campaign is a huge project where I can help pioneer this belief and be a part of giving back to not only parents, but to children who have had a hard time adapting to life in lockdown.

“My team and I are so eager to get back to what we do best and start to put a smile back on the faces of our local community”

Duncan Phillips, the owner and founder of 360 Play, has pledged to more than £60,000 worth of tickets being distributed at its centres nationwide.

He said: “If we can reach out and give just one family some help, the campaign will have been a success.

“That’s why I am so proud to play our part reaching out to thousands of families who may not have the ability to access our sites to come along as our guests and play again in active and open settings.”

The business is calling on the community to nominate those who deserve tickets for a fun-filled day at 360 Play in light of the past 14 months.
