A VILLAGER has been fined for having a loaded air weapon on Meon Valley farmland.
Michael Glyn Powell, 24, was caught with the gun on land off Sailor's Lane, Corhampton on November 26 last year, a court heard.
Powell, of Wellow Wood Road, West Wellow, near Romsey admitted the charge.
Magistrates in Basingstoke fined him £440 with a £44 victim surcharge and £85 costs. There was no order for forfeiture of the gun as the court heard Powell had permission of the farmer to use the weapon.
