The River Thames in Kingston, where police say a body has been found
A body has been found and recovered from the River Thames in Kingston early this morning (March 21).
A large police presence was spotted near Canbury Gardens on Sunday morning, and police confirmed they were responding to reports of a body found in the water.
Officers from the Marine Policing Unit and Royal National Lifeboat Institution attended the scene at around 9:30am, and confirmed a body had been found.
A man's body was recovered from the water, and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
Police say they are treating his death as 'unexplained, but not suspicious.'
