Forensic officers have continued searching an area of woodland in Ashford, Kent, following the discovery of human remains in the hunt for missing woman Sarah Everard.
The Met Police announced on Wednesday that a diplomatic protection officer held over the disappearance of Sarah Everard has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Police had previously been pictured searching the suspect's house in Deal, with a forensic tent erected outside. It is understood a police presence remains at the house.
Meanwhile significant police activity has continued in the Ashford area, focusing on woodland and a golf course at Great Chart.

It is understood this was the location where human remains were discovered during Wednesday (March 10).
Officers in blue bodysuits were seen scouring the area on Wednesday, with a helicopter also circling overhead at times.
The helicopter had been flying low around the former Great Chart Golf and Leisure complex, west of Ashford, which police have cordoned off.

A forensics van entered the disused site at about 4pm Wednesday.
Officers were seen today receiving floral tributes and messages from members of the public to lay at the investigation site.
