A second person has died after a fatal crash involving a motorbike and car in Laleham last month.

The man, who was a passenger on a motorbike that was involved in the crash, died days after the person driving the motorbike was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency service responders.

He had been rushed to hospital by paramedics who attended the scene around 5.55pm on Shepperton Road in Laleham, February 21.

He sadly died from the "serious injuries" police said he sustained in the crash, which also involved a blue BMW.

The driver of that car was unhurt in the incident.

A 25-year-old man (no other details provided) was arrested by police after the crash "on suspicion of causing death by careless driving".

He remains on conditional bail at present as police continue their investigations.

"We are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward to assist our investigation into the cause of the collision, particularly anyone who saw it happen; or saw the manner of driving of either vehicle between 5.30pm and the time of the collision; or who has dashcam or helmetcam footage from the immediate area between 5.30 and 6pm," a statement from Surrey Police read.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact them and quote reference number PR/P21037307.
