State-of-the-art apartments which will be installed in a landmark Southend building have gone on sale for the first time.

Weston Homes is aiming to convert the former HMRC office block in Victoria Avenue into 217 new homes.

A mix of one, two and three bedrooms flats are being created, with many offering stunning views of Southend seafront.

Prices are said to start from £185,000, but the lowest price listed on Weston Homes’ website is currently £186,250.

The most expensive so far is £215,000.

There are currently seven, one-bedroom apartment available to buy.

Two bedroom

Prices start from £218,500, with the highest price so far at £282,500.

There are currently eight, two-bedroom flats on sale right now.

Three bedroom

Prices starts from £285,000 but there are no three-bedroom apartments available right now.

One has so far been reserved for £301,000.

The conversion project – called Victoria Central – is expected to cost around £53m.

It is one of three major revamps Weston Homes is undertaking to change large buildings into new homes.
