Coronavirus infection rates across boroughs in South and West London continued to fall according to the most recent data published by Public Health England (PHE).

The number of new coronavirus infections are falling across the region as the ongoing lockdown imposed to slow the spread of Covid-19 continues to have an impact.

There were hundreds of new infections in almost all South West London boroughs in the latest round of new data published by Public Health England (PHE), however, showing continued high prevalence of the virus in the seven days up to February 7.

The news comes as the NHS vaccine drive continues apace, with 14 million people in the UK receiving at least one coronavirus vaccination so far.

The UK has meanwhile exceeded four million lab-confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus since the start of the pandemic.

Below is a complete list of boroughs in South West London including the number of new cases, percentage change and 'rolling rate' of infections per 100,000 people in the week up to February 1.

  • Croydon: Cases 751, -34.3 per cent, rolling rate 194.2
  • Sutton: Cases 426, -33.3 per cent, rolling rate 206.4
  • Merton: Cases 460, -27.8 per cent, rolling rate 222.7
  • Lambeth: Cases 607, -35.5 per cent, rolling rate 186.2
  • Wandsworth: Cases 540 ,-30.7 per cent, rolling rate 163.8
  • Richmond: Cases 331, -23.9 per cent, rolling rate 167.2
  • Kingston: Cases 335, -31.6 per cent, rolling rate 188.7
  • Epsom and Ewell: Cases 135, -30.8 per cent, rolling rate 167.4
  • Reigate and Banstead: Cases 264, -44.1 per cent, rolling rate 177.5
