Another large rise in positive test results means Helston now has more cases of coronavirus than any other single cluster area in Cornwall.
The town has seen a 170 per cent rise week-on-week, taking it from 34 cases reported last Saturday to 92 cases in today's update on the Government cluster map.
It is also 32 extra cases on top of the midweek update on Wednesday, when there was 60.
The cases relate to the number of new positive test results recorded in the seven days leading up to January 11, with the most recent five days not shown due to incomplete data.
It means that Helston on its own now has a rolling rate of 765.5 cases per 100,000 people - more than double the Cornwall rate of 313.0 cases per 100,000 and placing it above the England average.
Covid clusters in the south, west and mid Cornwall
At least some of the cases are likely to be related to an outbreak at Trengrouse nursing home, which was described as "significant" on Monday by Cornwall Care, after a number of ambulances were seen outside the building last Saturday evening.

Areas such as Newquay and Truro, which have previously seen high figures, have reduced the number of new cases this week.
Newquay now has only 55 cases across its two cluster areas - 24 in Newquay West and 31 in Newquay East - compared to a combined 145 cases a week ago.
Truro now has a combined 94 cases, which is slightly higher than Helston's 92 overall but being a larger area it is split over three clusters: Truro West (27 cases), Truro South & Central (27 cases) and Truro East (40 cases). The total has dropped from 148 cases across the three clusters a week ago.
Covid clusters in the north and east of Cornwall
The map shows positive cases by 'Middle Super Output Area' - the name the government gives to the break-up of larger towns and groups of neighbouring towns and villages, with groupings covering a greater area than others.
The minimum population in each area is 5,000 and the average is 7,200.
However, there is some good news for Helston as vaccinations began this week for people over the age of 80 across the town and the surrounding area.
Four medical practices have come together to achieve the feat: Helston Medical Centre including Porthleven Surgery, Meneage Street Surgery, Mullion & Constantine Group, and St Keverne Health Centre.

The map only shows clusters when there are at least three confirmed results. Anywhere with between zero and two cases shows white in order to "protect the privacy of individuals and prevent disclosure."
However, all areas of Cornwall are showing at least three cases in today's map.
Overall, Cornwall has seen 1,790 new cases recording in the seven days leading up to Monday this week, January 11, which is 316 fewer than in the previous week.
