Salisbury Playhouse and Salisbury Arts Centre are reopening next week for live entertainment, shopping and a free exhibition.
Wiltshire Creative has a programme of events that are going to get people in the festive spirit.
Little Robin Redbreast - Monday, December 7 - Sunday, December 27 at Salisbury Playhouse
It has been written by Glyn Kerslake and Gareth Machin with a cast featuring many familiar faces to the Salisbury Playhouse stage: Bernadette Bangura who shook and shimmied as the Sheriff’s Spanish housekeeper, Consuela in the Playhouse’s pantomime Robin Hood last year, Ryan Heenan, (Moonfleet), Philippa Hogg (Little Robin Redbreast, 2017) and Dan Smith (Little Robin Redbreast, 2017, Moonfleet and Worst Wedding Ever).
There are socially distanced morning, afternoon and evening performances.
A Christmas Carol - December 15-19 at Salisbury Playhouse
Olivier Award winner Guy Masterson returns following three sell-out Christmas seasons at Salisbury Playhouse.
He recreates Scrooge, Marley, the Fezziwigs, Tiny Tim and more in his performance of A Christmas Carol.
Diaspora - Tuesday, December 8 to Saturday, December 19 at Salisbury Arts Centre
The free exhibition brings together artists and makers of African/Caribbean heritage to showcase their work, not previously seen in Salisbury.
The artists exhibiting include ceramic vessels by The Great Pottery Throw Down kiln man Rich Miller whose work is inspired by his own tile production and by British Colonialism.
Other potters in the exhibition are the London-based father and daughter Chris Bramble and Freya Bramble-Carter who combine their shared love of African culture and the connection to the natural world. Barbados-born potter Ronaldo Wiltshire will be exhibiting his ceramic masks.
The exhibition also includes prints by Ade Adesina, who creates large-scale linocuts and etchings.

Art in the Arches - December 12-19 at Salisbury Arts Centre
Wiltshire Creative is launching Art in the Arches where local artists can display and sell their work. It is free.
Artists displaying and selling their work include Sally Newton, Ann Miller, Tamsin Loveday, Murray Marshall, Annaliese Stoney, Anne-Marie Marshall Fieber, Sally Firino and Salisbury Arts Pottery.
