A PROLIFIC shoplifter has been sent to prison after admitting his latest offences.

Fardin Farji stole sweets from shops in Worthing.

The 27-year-old was also in breach of a Community Protection Notice banning him from entering South Street in the town.

At Worthing Magistrates’ Court it was revealed Farji’s latest crimes were committed after he was given a suspended prison sentence on September 9 for 11 shop thefts and another suspended sentence for theft on September 17.

He admitted two new thefts on November 17 and November 20.

Previously Farji, of Christchurch Road, Worthing, was given a suspended sentence for a range of crimes.

These include a conditional discharge in October for stealing a £75 electric shaver from Boots in Montague Street, stealing electric toothbrushes worth £291 from Superdrug, stealing a clutch bag, Calvin Klein boxer shorts and joggers from Topshop, stealing bread, cheese, sandwiches and steaks from the Co-op, chocolate from WH Smith, wine from Marks and Spencer, and jewellery from TK Maxx.

Farji was jailed for 30 weeks.
