Investigators of a house fire in Epsom believe it may have been started deliberately.
That's according to a police statement issued after a fire ripped through a house on Gainsborough Road in Epsom on Friday evening (October 2).
Officers from Surrey Police are appealing for information from the public after revealing that "the fire is believed to be deliberately started."
The blaze broke out at the residential property on Gainsborough Road sometime before 10pm last Friday, when the emergency services were called.
"No one was injured but the house was badly damaged.
"An investigation is underway as the fire is believed to be deliberately started.
"We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area to come forward with any information," a spokesperson for Surrey Police said.
