Footage shows parts of SW London being struck by hailstones following scorching temperatures across the UK. 

A yellow storm warning for all of England has been issued as temperatures continue to hit 30 degrees in the region.

The Met Office weather service are predicting thunderstorms and heavy rainfall in several locations Wednesday and into Thursday.

Today, the Met Office warned people to stay "weather aware" in a statement online. 

"With those high temperatures comes the risk of severe #thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, becoming mainly focused across central and southern areas overnight Warnings are in force."

The rains are expected to arrive after an extended heatwave and high pollution warnings across the UK.

The Met Office have posted a radar loop showing where thunderstorms have developed across the UK this afternoon.
