A "significant amount" of cannabis and cash were seized by Surrey Police on Thursday (June 4) from an address in Weybridge.

Surrey Police said they raided a property on West Palace Gardens around 10.40am Thursday under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

There they uncovered "a significant amount of cannabis and cash" which were seized.

"Two men aged 18 and 21 who were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug have been released from custody and remain under investigation," a spokesperson said.

Elmbridge Borough Commander Inspector Bert Dean added his thoughts after the raid:

"I’d like to thank the local community for their support while officers carried out this warrant as part of our ongoing work.

“We hope that this reassures local residents in Elmbridge that we are doing everything possible to tackle drug-related crime.

"This can have a significant impact on people in the area if there is associated anti-social behaviour," he said.
