Police officers had to enforce social distancing measures at a Bexley green space this afternoon, following reports of large groups gathering.
Officers were dispatched on Monday afternoon (May 25) to Footscray Meadows after several members of the public reported people flouting social distancing measures and gathering in large groups.
Police are understood to have spoken to the groups, but no arrests were reported.
A statement from Bromley MPS read: "We have had numerous reports of large groups at Footscray Meadows today so units have been sent there.
"There are large numbers on the Meadows with a number not following the government guidelines.
"These people have been engaged with and informed and are now following the guidelines."
It comes amid continued pleas from public services for people to stay home as much as possible and continue to obey social distancing measures.
