A manhunt for four thieves who looted a safe from a Leatherhead home and made off with a number of valuable items was renewed by Surrey Police today (May 6).

In the update posted to their website, the county police force said they were looking for Peckham man Michael Stokes, 38, in relation to the burglary on February 29

"Michael Stokes, 38, from Peckham, is wanted in connection with this incident. He has connections to Wycombe, Central London and Surrey," a Surrey Police spokesperson said.

They also added a description of the heist, which they said involved four suspects clad in balaclavas target a residential home in Leatherhead:

"On 29 February at 7.30pm, four suspects wearing balaclavas and dark clothing broke into a residential address in Leatherhead.

"A safe containing a large quantity of cash, jewellery and the occupant’s passports was stolen.

"If you know where he is or have any information which might help us locate him, please call 101 and quote ref PR/45200023774."
