Police and fire services were forced to respond after a bull was found obstructing traffic on the A30 in Surrey this morning (May 6).

The stretch of the busy highway between Ashford Hospital and Staines was impacted by the rogue bovine as emergency services were called in to tackle the lone wanderer.

Delays and closures were reported in the area as a result of the bull's erroneous morning stroll:

"Delays and some closures due to a bull running around the carriageway @SurreyFRS are helping our crews to corral it safely," a spokesperson for the Surrey Roads Policing Unit posted to Twitter around 8.17am.
