There were 358 confirmed cases of Covid-19 coronavirus in Surrey on Tuesday (March 31) according to the government as cases in South-West London topped four figures.

Surrey's number of cases jumped 20 from the previous day's total of 338.

Meanwhile in South West London (Croydon, Wandsworth, Merton, Sutton, Kingston and Richmond) total number of cases stood at 1,114 as of Tuesday afternoon.

Of those boroughs, Wandsworth and Croydon reported the most confirmed cases with 314 and 313 respectively.

As the the Croydon Guardian reported last Thursday (March 27), at least 27 people had died at Croydon Hospital from Covid-19.

Behind Wandsworth and Croydon in terms of confirmed cases were Merton (172), Richmond (112) and Sutton (111).

Kingston is the SW London borough with the least number of confirmed cases so far (92).

Nationwide, there have been 22,141 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the UK so far. 

A total of 1,408 people have sadly died after contracting the virus.

On Tuesday, 2,619 cases and 180 deaths were confirmed by Public Health England.
