A man arrested in Lewisham has been charged with the murder of a 42-year-old in north London who was stabbed to death.

Lennox Nigel Alcendor, from Harlesden, died from knife injuries to his neck after he was found on a residential street in Cricklewood on Friday.

James Rochester, 42, of no fixed abode, has been charged with murder and possession of points and blades. He was arrested at an address in Lewisham on Tuesday.

Christian Fearson, 20, also of no fixed abode, has been charged with the same offences, as well as possession of an offensive weapon.

Police were called to Anson Road at 6.45am on Friday. Despite the efforts of medics, Mr Alcendor was pronounced dead at the scene at 7.30am.

A post-mortem examination took place on Saturday, February 22, and gave cause of death as a stab wound.

Both suspects will appear in custody this morning Thursday at Willesden Magistrates’ Court.
