Surrey Police are investigating reports of a serious sexual assault in Addlestone.
The attack reportedly took place late at night on the path between Chertsey Road and Crouch Oak Lane in Addlestone.
Responding to a request from the Comet, a spokesperson for Surrey Police said:
"We are investigating following a report of a serious sexual assault in Addlestone in the early hours yesterday (3 November).
"The incident is alleged to have taken place between 2 and 3am along a path between Chertsey Road and Crouch Oak Lane.
"The victim was on her way home and was on foot when she was assaulted.
"An investigation is underway and enquiries remain ongoing," Surrey Police said.
