Surrey Police reissued their appeal for help in the search for Epsom man Seamus Henry, who was last seen over two weeks ago on October 18.

Last Friday (November 1), police reissued their appeal for help in the search for Mr Henry, who they described as "extremely vulnerable".

Police said Mr Henry, 65, was last seen leaving the Tesco Express on Chantilly Way in Epsom on Friday, October 18.

While police first issued an information appeal to help find Mr Henry soon after he was reported missing, they said they were still working on "very little information" at present.

As such, Surrey Police said they were now "growing extremely concerned for Seamus as he has not been seen for two weeks".

A spokesperson for the county police force offered further details about Seamus and his situation in the hope that it might prompt a breakthrough in the search to find him.

"Seamus is not believed to have any money, a phone or spare clothes with him, and has a number of medical conditions which make him extremely vulnerable.

"He is described as white, 173cm tall, of medium build with grey hair.

"He walks with a slight hunch and was wearing a white t-shirt, black coat, grey jogging bottoms and white trainers," a police spokesperson said.

The statement provided further details on Mr Henry's typical whereabouts in the Epsom area.

"Seamus lives at the Horton Haven, and regularly visits the local Tesco Express on Chantilly Way unaccompanied.

"People we have spoken to in the area tell us that he was well recognised locally - and would often greet strangers on his way to and from the Tesco with a cheery "hello".

"Unfortunately there have been no confirmed sightings since he left the store on Friday 18 October, where he purchased two packets of custard creams and a bottle of diet coke.

"Since he went missing we have one unconfirmed sighting from Saturday 19 October that suggests he was on path to Horton Country Park, but no other information as to his whereabouts," Surrey Police said.

The officers tasked with finding Seamus are now expected to heighten their search.

Police said that Epsom residents in the Horton Haven area could expect increased police presence as the search for Mr Henry intensifies.

"Following a thorough review of the case we are increasing our efforts to locate Seamus.

"Members of the public may notice an increased police presence in the Horton area of Epsom over the coming days with house to house enquiries, and Surrey Search and Rescue volunteers providing assistance.

"While we are concentrating our searches locally, in order to try and find information that could extend his known movements, Seamus has only recently moved to the Horton Haven and does not have very many local connections - so it is possible he has travelled further afield (probably on public transport).

"He has links to the Gillingham area of Kent and the Berkshire areas of Thatcham, near Newbury, and Crowthorne," the Surrey Police spokesperson said.

"We are also asking the public to help by being our eyes and ears while you're out and about," they added.

"If you use the Horton Country Park for dog walking or exercise, please keep an eye out for Seamus.

"If you live locally to Horton please check any outbuildings and sheds in case he has sought shelter. Please check any CCTV or camera doorbells for images of him, and please call us immediately if you see him, or have information that could help us locate him."

If you have seen Seamus, or you have any information which could help, contact Surrey Police immediately on 101, quoting reference number PR/45190110640.

"If you are with Seamus, call us on 999.

"Finally, Seamus. If you are reading this, you are not in any trouble - we are just very worried about you. If you see our appeal, please get in touch with us and we can have a chat, and check you are safe and well," Surrey Police said.
