Nursery children in Epsom were paid a special visit by the Mayor and Mayoress of the borough on Friday (October 25).
Epsom and Ewell Mayor John Beckett and his partner Alison enjoyed a messy autumnal time at Busy Bees Nursery in Epsom.
Together with the children they got stuck into seasonal pumpkin carving before sitting down for some pumpkin punch and Halloween cakes.
Cllr Beckett also shared his top tips for safe carving and regaled the children with tales of his time in the scouts.
"This was a great experience for the children, who had lots of questions for the Mayor and Mayoress and loved to share this pumpkin experiences with them, it is lovely to have such a great partnership with the local community," said Laura Lunn, the nursery manager.
