A motorist was handed a ticket by Surrey Road Police (RPU) after parking in a bus stop in order to visit a nearby Subway in Weybridge.
Surrey RPU posted an image on Twitter of the offending vehicle — a red Volkswagen — parked haphazardly across a bus stop in Weybridge.
A spokesperson said that the driver had ignored several other vacant parking bays nearby and decided to park in the bus stop near their destination of choice — fast-food outlet Subway.

The image also depicted a nearby bus struggling to get past the car, which appeared to be parked almost directly in front of the bus stop in question.
