A man arrested in Bromley has been charged over a Sevenoaks break-in where bank cards were stolen and repeatedly used for contactless payments.
Aaron Townsend, 32, of no fixed address has been charged with burglary and ten counts of fraud by false representation.
The burglary was reported to have taken place between September 23 and 24 at a house in Orchard Road, Otford, where the victim awoke to find two cars missing as well as a handbag containing bank cards.
The victim subsequently discovered a number of contactless transactions had been made, after the cards were allegedly used in the hours after the break-in.
Townsend was remanded in custody to appear before Bromley Magistrates’ Court on October 17.
