If you suddenly notice the smell of biscuits floating about Colliers Wood, there is a very good reason.

Biscuiteers, an award-winning online shop that creates hand-iced biscuits, has unveiled a new purpose-built manufacturing unit and office space in Prince Georges Road.

The building with house the 100 icers and bakers and more than 50 new jobs have been created as a result of the opening.

Harriet Hastings, founder of Biscuiteers said: The move to Wimbledon is a landmark moment for the business.

"Stevie and I started the company almost twelve years ago with no staff and a small space in Kennington.

"Almost 20 million hand-iced biscuits later and here we are, ready to make a change which will be pivotal.

"The new space will allow our teams to work more collaboratively and productively which in turn will give us more space to scale the business faster."

The new ‘Willy Wonka style’ facility in has been remodelled from scratch throughout the last year to create a facility which can support the "growing success of the Biscuiteers business".

There will be no shop on sight unfortunately though, with the biscuit company only operating stores in Battersea and Notting Hill.
