A points failure at Waterloo station will result in peak hour delays for commuters this evening.
National Rail has said that the issues has meant that some lines to and from the station have been closed, and that cancellations and delays up to 30 minutes can be expected for South Western Railway.
Network Rail, who own and maintain the railway infrastructure, have been advised of this issue and their engineers are not able to access the points to investigate the issue until after evening peak.
"Due to this issue, trains at London Waterloo may arrive on to/leave from different platforms to usual - please check before you board," a statement from the train company read.
"We anticipate that disruption will continue until the end of service."
