Kent firefighters were kept busy in the blistering heat today as crews were called to tackle a mobile unit ablaze near the Dartford Crossing earlier this morning.
Fire crews from Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to unit alight on a slip road on the Crossing shortly before 11:30am.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze, which is believed to have started whilst the unit was being towed.
The cause is not yet known.
