A man has been questioned by police after two women were sexually assaulted within hours of each other.
On June 11, a white man believed to be in his 30s cycled around Battersea and "groped" two women, one on her breast and the other on her buttock.
Yesterday, officers from the Queenstown ward travelled to Leyton where a man had been arrested in relation to the incidents.
The man was interviewed on suspicion of committing these offences while in a public place.
Nearly three weeks after those offences in Battersea took place, police in Merton received similar reports that a man on a bicycle had sexually assaulted a woman in broad daylight.
On that occasion the offending man was described as being in his early 20s
Police could not confirm whether these offences were linked.
