Lewis Dunk had an eventful first half under Graham Potter in Albion's opening pre-season friendly in Austria today.

The skipper scored, almost doubled the lead and then protested he was fouled for FC Liefering's equaliser.

Dunk lopped in a header from a Pascal Gross cross in the 11th minute.

He almost made it two with another header five minutes later from a Gross corner, which was cleared off the line.

Second tier Liefering levelled totally against the run of play in the 20th minute.

A free-kick from the right by South Korean under-23 international Jung-Min Kim ricocheted in off the head of Seabstian Aigner, with Dunk protesting to the female ref that he was impeded.

The Seagulls fell behind to a superb finish by Liefering striker Junior Adamu in the 31st minute, a right-foot curler into top corner beyond David Button.

The lead was shortlived for the feeder club to Red Bull Salzburg as Glenn Murray instantly slotted an equaliser from Jurgen Locadia's clever back-heel.

Locadia put Albion back in front in the 40th minute, picking his spot with his right-foot from beyond the far post.

The second half line-up for the Seagulls features new signings Matt Clarke and Leandro Trossard.

Albion first half (4-2-3-1): Button; Montoya, Burn, Dunk, Suttner; Alzate, Stephens; March, Gross, Locadia; Murray.

Albion second half (4-2-3-1): Walton; Sanders, Duffy, Clarke, Bernardo; Propper, Kayal; Knockaert, Jahanbakhsh, Trossard; Andone.
