Fire crews rushed to attend an 'out of control' fire in Walton Thursday afternoon (July 4).
Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said that they had received 'multiple' emergency 999 calls Thursday with callers reporting an 'out of control fire' in Netley Drive, a residential area in Walton.

In a statement posted to Twitter, a spokesperson for SFRS said:
"Fire crews from Walton and Esher are responding to reports of a fire out of control in Netley Road Walton - Multiple 999 calls being received by Fire Control Officers."
The Comet approached Surrey County Council (SCC), who help coordinate with SFRS in the region, to confirm the reports.
In response, SFRS said that two fire crews were sent to attend the blaze and remained there fighting the fire at around 3pm.
"We received a call this afternoon around 14.20pm to a report of a fire on Netley Drive.
"Two fire engines were sent, which arrived at the scene around 14.25pm," a spokesperson for SFRS said.
"The units are currently still at the scene dealing with the fire," they added.
