Surrey Police released dramatic footage of a raid targeting suspected drug-dealing in Walton last month.

The short clips shows armour-clad police officers using a battering ram — euphemistically described as a 'special key' — to enter a property in Walton by force on a date in late June, before shouts can be heard.

Police said that two men had been arrested following the raid on suspicion of being involved in dealing Class A drugs:

"Two men have been arrested on suspicion of dealing drugs after we paid them a surprise visit at an address in Walton-on-Thames last week.

"After using our special key to enter the address, we carried out a search and found drugs, weapons and a bottle containing a noxious substance.

"The men, who are from Walton-on-Thames and aged 28 and 40, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs. They have since been released under investigation," a spokesperson for Surrey Police said.

Inspector Dallas McDermott, Borough Commander for Elmbridge, added a plea for residents to report any concerns over such activity to police.

"Our teams work 24/7 to keep our local communities safe.

"This includes tackling anyone we believe to be involved in dealing drugs.

"We would urge the public to continue reporting any concerns they might have to us as this information can help us build a picture of local activity and identify possible offenders," McDermott said.
