A Surbiton veterans' home are hosting their Summer Fete this Saturday (June 29) to commemorate Armed Forces Day.
Royal Star and Garter (RSG)'s Surbiton Home are holding the community event at the care home on Upper Brighton Road Saturday afternoon, with the weather expected to smile on attendees.
"Entry is free, with visitors treated to live music, garden games such as Hook-a-Duck and skittles, tombola, BBQ, chocolate fountain, ice creams, refreshments and a vintage Second World War Jeep.
"There will also be a raffle with some eye-catching prizes including afternoon tea at The Ivy in Richmond, a river cruise and David Lloyd pass," a spokesperson for the charity said.
RSG care for ex-Servicemen and women and their partners living with disability and dementia, with all the money raised from Saturday's fete going to the cause.
Lauren Baker, Senior Community Fundraiser (pictured) said: "Our residents are looking forward to welcoming the community to their home.
"There will be food, refreshments and entertainment throughout the afternoon, and entry is free, so please do drop in and say hello!"
