Cobham village held its first ever Super Saturday event this weekend featuring a wealth of artists and businesses from the village.

The event was organised by Cobham Chamber of Commerce (CCC), who announced future Super Saturdays after praising the success of the weekend's inaugural event.

After scores of attendees from the village and beyond helped make the event a success, Cobham's Our Village community Facebook page celebrated day.

"Thank you Cobham for your support today in making our first Super Saturday a tremendous success.

"Massive thanks to our Chamber Members, community groups and stall holders," Our Village said on Facebook.

Among the local businesses taking part were family butchers Stoneleigh's and village travel agency Travel Professionals.

Meanwhile, local artist Jo Maynard exhibited some stunning artworks and the renowned branch of Show Choir UK performed live in the village.

CCC Secretary Claire Lamb described the event as "amazing" as CC revealed future editions of Super Saturday later in the year.

"It was an amazing day for the village and there was a great atmosphere," Ms Lamb said.

CCC added that further Super Saturday's were lined up for September 28 and December 14.
