Police are searching for a suspect after a man armed with a knife allegedly committed an assault in Merton.
Shortly after 7am, officers responded to reports of a man in possession of a knife on Mitcham Park.
The armed suspect is alleged to have entered a house and assaulted a man before fleeing the scene.
The victim was rushed to hospital with facial injuries.
No arrests have been made, as enquires into the incident continue.
