A serving police officer has been dismissed without notice following the conclusion of a misconduct hearing.

PC Dipesh Mistry, attached to the South West Command Unit, was dismissed at the conclusion of the hearing on Thursday, May 30.

The panel found that PC Mistry had breached the standards of professional behaviour in respect of ‘discreditable conduct’.

Two further allegations relating to ‘honesty and integrity’ were not proven.

This relates to his arrest by police in Germany on September 30, 2017, following the allegation of assault at Oktoberfest in Germany.

The panel - chaired by a legally qualified chair Akbar Khan - found gross misconduct was proven in relation to ‘discreditable conduct’.
