There are long delays on the A3 this afternoon after a crash at Tolworth.
Emergency services arrived on the scene of what was described as a one-vehicle collision on the northbound carriageway at around 3pm.
It is understood a single car crashed into the central reservation, leaving one of the occupants trapped.
A London Fire Brigade spokesman said: "We were called just after 3pm to reports of a single-car collision.
"Our crew arrived on the scene where they discovered one man trapped inside his car.
"He was released from the vehicle and taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service."
It is understood all lanes have reopened as of 4.50pm.
