Surrey Road Police Unit (SRPU) were confronted by a horse on the loose near Long Ditton Thursday (May 2).
In a short, humourous statement posted to Twitter, the regional road policing team revealed that they had successfully escorted a horse back to the field where it usually residents after it seemed to be on the loose and near to the busy roadside of the A309.
An image released by SRPU with the statement showed a horse similar to an Irish Cob interacting with one of the unit's police cars at an unspecified location on the A309, near Long Ditton.
The SRPU said: "Dealing with a different kind of horse power today. Horse now safely back in the field and off the #A309 #LongDitton."
The SRPU's post attracted scores of likes and interactions on the micro-blogging site Thursday.
