A pink van selling coffee and cakes was stolen after a break-in in Weybridge earlier this month.

Surrey Police issued an information appeal today (April 30) after reporting that the colourful catering van was reported stolen.

Issuing details of the theft, police said that thieves broke into a property containing keys to the van before making off with the vehicle.

Surrey Police said: "We are appealing for information after a van was stolen from an address in Weybridge between 16 April and 19 April.

"Unknown suspects broke in via the front door of the property and have stolen the keys from inside the address."

Meanwhile, one of the officers investigating the incident — Investigating Officer James Wellard — urged the public to come forward and help police in their inquiries if they had any information that could prove useful.

Mr Wellard said: "I am appealing for anyone who has seen this distinctive vehicle to get in touch with us as a matter of urgency.

"This van is noticeable and memorable so I urge you to report any sightings to us as this will help us locate the perpetrators and reunite the victim with their vehicle."
