A motorcyclist was rushed to hospital with 'serious' injuries following a crash in Leatherhead this morning (April 9).

Surrey Police said they were called with reports of a collision around 10am Tuesday morning, and urged anyone with information about the crash to come forward.

Describing the incident, Surrey Police said that the collision included a motorbike and a car, and added that the person driving the bike had been taken to hospital.

Surrey Police said: "We were called following reports of a collision around 10am today (9 April), in Kingston Road, Leatherhead.

"The collision, involving a car and a motorcyclist, occurred near Pachesham Park.

"The male motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries."

The police statement added that the force were now investigating the incident and urged anyone who had information about what had happened to get in touch.

Surrey Police said: "Enquiries at the scene remain ongoing and anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone who has any dashcam footage, is asked to call us on 101 quoting incident reference number PR/P19079582."
