Chessington World of Adventures (CWOA) is rebranding during Easter in partnership with a major new Hollywood film.

Wonder Park (2019) is hitting cinemas on Monday (April 8) and Chessington's own renowned theme park revealed it would change its title, albeit temporarily, in tandem with the film's release.

CWOA said that its name would change on Saturday (April 6) as Wonder Park-themed characters and special events and attractions came to the park for a three-week stay.

In a post published on the theme park's website, a spokesperson said that people visiting the park could expect a range of special attractions and prizes linked to the family film.

CWOA said: "Chessington World of Adventures Resort is being taken over by Wonder Park!

"Meet Boomer at Chessington over Easter, plus enjoy activities inspired by the film at the Wonder Park Hut – design your own Wonder Chimp for an exclusive Wonder Park pop badge, plus get entered into a prize draw to win a bundle of Wonder Park goodies; add your mark to a giant colouring wall; and experience a virtual reality roller-coaster game."

CWOA said the temporary rebrand would last between March 30 and April 22.

All the associated extra attractions and events will be included in attendees entry to the resort.

The Wonder Park film centres on the magical creation of a theme park thanks to the vibrant imagination its young protagonist named June.

It features a cast of household Hollywood names including Jennifer Garner and Mila Kunis.

The UK release will also feature British favourite and former Doctor Who Tom Baker as the blue bear character 'Boomer'.
