Following the news that it has merged with Croydon College the principal at Coulsdon Sixth Form College has said it means more courses will be on offer.

Richard Beales said: “This is a positive and proactive step forward for further education in Croydon and the surrounding boroughs. Together, we have a greater capacity to ensure our students continue to be successful during their time at college and beyond.

“The merger increases our capacity to innovate and respond effectively to local and regional skill needs, we are already seeing benefits from the merger such as a significant investment in IT which will improve the student experience as well as improved support and future planning.

“Coulsdon Sixth Form College remains the only college offering A-Levels in Croydon and now with the combined education offered across both sites it means students have clear progression routes right from entry level programmes through to degree courses, apprenticeships and into meaningful employment.

“Moving forwards both colleges will be able to share ideas and resources to ensure we are at the forefront of further and higher education in Croydon.”
